2006 Chardonnay
Description: This is a bright, crisp white wine that has been stainless steel fermented and aged about 2-1/2 years. From the French vinifera rootstock, it exhibits a light honeycomb color and presents the delicate floral aromas of tree fruit, pineapples, pears, grapefruit, bananas, caramels and crisp Granny Smith apples, balancing a slight sweetness with just a touch of citrusy acid. We believe that oak aging can overpower the delicate characteristics of this wine, so we prefer stainless-steel fermentation to let its character be fully appreciated. |

2006 Merlot
Description: This elegant red wine of medium body is made solely from the Merlot grape. Its soft and fleshy character is enhanced by the clay dominant soils of North Carolina vineyards. It shows aromas of wet earth, plums and currents which linger through a gentle finish on the palette. |

2006 Chambourcin
Description: This is our signature red wine, made from a French-American hybrid and aged approximately 2-1/2 years in a combination of 75% French and 25% American oak. Its mellow palette expresses a herbaceous structure with good tannins and high acidity, and presents the distinctive soft aromas of black pepper, cranberries, cinnamon, raspberries and dark chocolate. Many customers are reminded of long walks in old growth cedar forests. |
